For the second edition of the Kochi Marathon, Federal Bank wanted to scale up the event’s ambition and impact. The goal was to mark Kochi firmly on the sports events calendar, while motivating both professional runners and everyday citizens to participate. This wasn’t just about a race, but about building a city-wide sporting culture.
The Pop-Take
The campaign challenged people with a simple dare: Prove. Improve. It tapped into the universal desire to do better, not just finish. Powerful runners were set against miniature views of Kochi, playing with scale and aspiration. The hashtag #GodsOwnMarathon framed running here as a badge of honour.
The Result
The campaign transformed the marathon into a celebration of personal grit and collective spirit. It brought together professionals, enthusiasts and first-time runners alike. Rooted in Kerala’s identity, it elevated sports marketing in the state and strengthened Federal Bank’s image as a brand that champions health, community and ambition.
